FlossAndBrush.com Review and Giveaway

Most of us know that we need to change our toothbrush at least once every three months. How many of us actually remember to change toothbrushes as recommended by the ADA?

floss and brush_final_vert

With FlossAndBrush.com, you get new toothbrushes for the whole family at your door every three months so there is no way to forget!

I recently got to try a service provided by FlossAndBrush.com. They deliver new toothbrushes and floss for the entire family every three months, for just $1 a month. This will definitely make flossing part of your daily brushing routine.

Floss and toothbrushes

FlossAndBrush.com’s toothbrushes are all made in the USA, are high quality, age specific, and dentist approved.

You can choose from four packages offered by the company:

  • Adult Floss & Brush Package ($1 per month per family member)
  • Youth Floss & Brush Package ($1 per month per family member)
  • Kids Floss & Brush Package ($1 per month per family member)
  • Adult Whitening Gel Package ($2 per month per family member)

*Only $1 shipping per person. Orders of three or more brushes ship for free.

This comes out to a savings over purchasing toothbrushes at drug stores or grocery stores. And the best part is that it’s worry-free, you won’t have to remember to replace brushes because they’ll show up in your mailbox every three months!

All of the brushes have micro tips, they are compact soft and have a dome trim bristle design as well as micro feathered bristles. The brushes, floss, and gel are all made in America. The gel is the quality that dental offices use and it offers fast results.

A lucky reader will also get to try the FlossAndBrush.com service by entering my giveaway! The giveaway is valued at $107! It includes the following:

Bulu Box: Review & Freebie

1-IMG_0992

So far, I have received two Bulu Boxes. What’s a Bulu Box? Well there’s a nice little company, Bulu Box, who gathers up the latest health, vitamin, weight loss, and wellness products, bundles them up in a box and sends them to you.

Now, on to what was in the boxes. The first box I received had the following items:

1-IMG_0989

  • Kelapo Virgin Coconut Oil
  • Red Stinger: Professional strength all day energy + appetite control
  • Fortified Nutrition: Protein, carb & fat drink mix
  • WHP Insomnia pills
  • Immuno Gum: Immunity boost

Out of all of these, I have only tried the Immuno Gum. The other products, besides the coconut oil, are a little intimidating and I’m not sure how I will react to them. The Immuno Gum has an average burst of flavor for about five seconds. I would probably not purchase this gum!

The second box had the following:

Bulu Box 2

  • C3* For Stress
  • BioCell Collagen capsules
  • Redd Remedies dietary supplement
  • Eruption dietary supplement
  • Neo-Carb Bloc dietary supplement

I have not tried any of these items yet. Again, these are probably better for athletes. It would be nice if I could actually choose what goes in my box. The thing I like is the little card that comes in each box and describes in detail what the items included are and what they do.

You can also get points for creating your profile and reviewing the products in the box. These points can be used towards full-sized products. 10 points = $1.

You can get your free Bulu Box by signing up here. Use the promo code TWEET10 at checkout. I would recommend doing the month-to-month subscription so if you don’t want any more boxes, you can easily cancel at any time. Also if you don’t like using your credit card information, use a gift card when you sign up. You will not be charged anything. Just cancel before your second month and you will be fine.  For $10 a month, it isn’t so bad to get a goodie box every month.

Smoking be Gone and Flu!

Update on the cigarette smoke issue: it’s gone! I started feeling worse around Sunday and Monday so I made an appointment with my doctor on Tuesday. Turns out I have the flu! The past few days involved medicine, sleeping and resting a lot and I did not notice any cigarette smoke.

Now that my sense of smell has somewhat returned, I do not smell any smoke! Not even in the laundry room where it was the worst. I’m hoping that it’ll stay like this. Maybe the management talked to the neighbors and they figured out who was causing it. In any case, don’t smoke and don’t start! It not only harms you, but those around you. You may not even know who is being disturbed by your smoking!

I have a few more days of being able to legitimately be lazy and bum around. I am so going to take advantage of it!

Coughing and Cigarette Smoke?!

My throat has been very dry and sore lately. I’ve spent a lot of time coughing and trying to clear my throat repeatedly for the past week or so.

I’ve also noticed the smell of cigarette smoke coming in from the windows or vents (not sure yet) of my apartment. Now, I’m not sure if the coughing and smoke is related, but I went to the leasing office and informed them of this situation.

It is getting difficult as my throat is getting worse. The only reason I am concerned is because I had asthma as a child and I do not want it to flare up again. Aside from that, I have allergies and this may be causing my throat to be dry. I might have to go see my doctor if it doesn’t improve later this week.

So far, I’ve tried honey, throat drops, salt water gargling and now I’m going to try green tea. Hoping this works so I don’t have to go to the doctor! I’ll keep you updated on the smoke issue too.
