No Post on Saturdays

We watched Here Comes the Boom starring Kevin James and Selma Hayek a few nights ago. It was pretty good, some funny moments. If you like Kevin James, you will probably enjoy this movie. I actually did fall asleep for about fifteen minutes but I think that was because it was so late and I was pretty tired.

 

Last night, I found a movie on Netflix named The Castle. I was just browsing their new additions and came across this movie which was made in 1997. It’s actually a warm movie about a quirky Australian man and his family trying to save their home from a nearby airport expansion project. The family has other struggles going on (the eldest son in jail) and they have a pack of greyhounds as well. Add this one to your queue for a rainy day because it will keep you entertained. Watch this movie instantly on your TV!

 

In major news, USPS is going to discontinue Saturday mail service. How sad. I love getting mail (fun mail like freebies and things, not bills!) and now there will be one less day of mail deliveries. Instead of “No post on Sundays” it’s going to be “No post on Saturdays and Sundays.” That doesn’t sound right. I feel bad for those postal workers who will have to reduce their hours or will be laid off.

Horror Story, Ovaltine, Lost Coupons

Finally started watching American Horror Story on Netflix last night. It’s pretty scary. I really want to watch more but won’t be able to until the hubby is here. Don’t want to get too scared watching all alone. I’ve had enough experience with that before! Guess the show will just have to wait.

The conference call with my professor went well except for the fact that my webcam wasn’t working. I think it had something to do with the software we were using. At least we could hear each other (which wasn’t working too well at first).

I’m sitting here sipping on some warm Ovaltine. Why is it called Ovaltine? The jar is round. The mug is round. They should call it Roundtine. (à la Seinfeld)

In other news, my hubby threw out all of the Sunday coupons from 1/27/13. Boo. I heard there were a lot of inserts this week. He owes me big time!!

Feel like having a donut. But. Will. Resist. Seems like it’s going to be a nice Friday!
